News: A New Era for Education in Nottingham

Please note: This news story may contain information that is no longer current or up to date.

Nottingham College unveils a new brand on Thursday 23 August 2018 following the merger of Central College and ncn in June 2017.

The brand was developed in house by the College’s own Marketing team. Mike Condon, the College’s Senior Designer, who led the project, said:

“In design terms we wanted to represent our Nottingham roots, while breaking with tradition. Obviously Nottingham is often associated with Robin Hood and the colour green, but we’re confident that the Crest is a modern take on an arrow ‘flight’, and the fresh teal colour gives a contemporary twist that feels at home within our great city.”

Nottingham College CEO, John van de Laarschot, said:

“The new brand marks the start of a new era for the College and attempts to communicate what the College stands for across the city. The flight of the arrow guides it to its target. Education and educators do the same thing, guiding students into higher education and employment. The brand is being rolled out across both the College and the city in the coming weeks as part of the College’s ongoing recruitment campaign. Places on most courses are still available if students want to come and see for themselves how the College can help them achieve their goals.”
