After the success of our grand launch in spring we wanted to follow up with an equally special evening to mark the start of our first full academic year. Join us in celebrating in style!
Highlights of the menu include the fish course of beetroot cured salmon, kohlrabi remoulade, dill emulsion followed by seared lamb rump, potato terrine, roast cauliflower puree, lamb jus and on to a punchy sweet – sour cleanser of damson sorbet and finishing with the sweeter relation of poached plum, chocolate marquis, chocolate soil…oh and prosecco on arrival.

Thursday 7th October – British Food Fortnight
This will be the 20th year of the national celebration of the diverse and delicious food that Britain produces. The inspiration for British Food Fortnight (BFF) was taken from the celebration of Harvest Festival, the traditional time when communities gathered in the autumn for hundreds of years, back to pagan times to celebrate the produce of the land.
Pearl barley broth, parsley oil, braised ox cheek, horseradish mash, carrot puree and bread pudding, brown sugar ice cream among some of the delicious seasonal fayre being showcased.

Fish and Seafood Night – In celebration of National Seafood Week
The annual campaign celebrating the wide variety of fish and shellfish available in the UK and aims to get people eating more fish, more often and sustainably. With 5 courses starring an assortment of maritime treats beginning with fresh oyster, pickled shallot, roast garlic oil, chive moving on to crab arancini, rocket puree, balsamic reduction and then bouillabaisse, rouille and culminating with bream, rosti potato, spinach, caviar sauce for seafood and finishing with a vanilla cream terrine, spiced apple compote and apple crisp- simply divine.

Wednesday 21st October - Nottinghamshire Evening
A special evening showcasing the fantastic array of the fine local produce from our fair county with a fitting 5 course tribute, starring; Colston Bassett Stilton, Braised pigs cheeks, Colwick cheese risotto, black pudding, pea shoots, Bramley apple sorbet, apple crisp and a poached pear, Mapperley lavender biscuit, whipped cream… Go on, treat yer sen!
Wednesday 3rd November – Modern British Menu
First in a series focusing on modern British cuisine, reflecting what’s at the heart of what we do here at Fletchers. Modern British cuisine is not so much a revival of old dishes, but a re-interpretation, taking the best of traditional stews, roasts, pies and puddings and re-inventing them. It’s celebrating the finest ingredients from our shores and lands used in the hearty dishes of yesteryear, but bringing them up to date with an enhanced skill and technique and imagination.
Thursday 4th November – Bonfire Night
Celebrate this autumnal festival with a bang! With the weather turning we have 5 courses of delicious hearty treats to keep you cosy and warm. Lighting up your evening with toasted sweetcorn chowder, creamed blue cheese, then ham hock beignets, apple & celery salad, piccalilli purée and braised ox cheek, wholegrain mustard mash, watercress, carrot crisps. On to the pre-pudding pudding of baked apple granité and the fireworks crescendo with bonfire toffee cheesecake, brandy snap, salted caramel sauce
Wednesday 10th & Thursday 11th November - An Evening in Tuscany
Buckle up us as we transport you to the gentle rolling hills and sandy coastline of Tuscany, famed for an abundance of fine ingredients, bringing you the authentic flavours of the region. The cuisine is traditionally hearty and made with simple ingredients – taken from the Italian idea of cucina povera or “poor cooking” – enhanced and fine-tuned through an ethos of simplicity over time.

As British gaming season gets in to full swing, our ever popular game evening returns with a menu to truly do one of the greatest products we have in our natural larder justice. Highlights include rabbit ballotine, frisée, pickled carrots, red wine vinaigrette, followed by seared pigeon, beetroot textures, hazelnut pesto and on to seared venison haunch, braised lentils, baby vegetables, jus for the main event… what’s not to like!
