15,000 new construction jobs set for East Midlands

28/04/2015

In the next four years there will be 15,000 more construction jobs up for grabs in the East Midlands.

With the new Basford Hall campus opening in September 2015, there’s never been a better time to train for a career in the industry.

Featuring 15 workshops dedicated to a specific trade, the new campus will be the place to study plastering, plumbing, electrical, brickwork, joinery and painting and decorating.

Students can start at Level 1 and progress right up to degree-level if they wish – all at Basford Hall.

Roger Stone, Sector Strategy Manager for the East Midlands for the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) which compiled the report into the growth of the industry said:

“This report is terrific news for the region and shows the construction industry is making a strong comeback. This positive forecast shows that now is the right time to start, or return, to a rewarding career in construction.”

Applications are now being taken for courses starting in September – find out more.
