How can I study for free?

There are a few ways you may be eligible to study for free and there is a range of eligibility criteria for fee remission.

If you do not currently hold a Level 2 qualification in English or maths (GCSE or equivalent) then you can study these for free.

If you are over the age of 19 and do not hold a full Level 3 qualification (equivalent to at least two A Levels, or a Level 3 vocational qualification) you can now access free training for a range of in-demand skills.

I don’t have any English or Maths qualifications, do you offer them?

Yes! We offer a range of English and Maths qualifications for adults. If you do not currently hold an English or Maths qualification (or have below a GCSE grade D/3 then you can study them for free).

Find out more about our Entry Level, Level 1 and Level 2 courses here.

English isn't my first language, do you offer courses for beginners?

Yes! Our ESOL courses will help you improve your English language skills to support you in your daily life.

Can I study online?

Yes! We offer lots of online and distance learning courses and qualifications for adults aged 19+ which allow you to study online in the comfort of your own home or from your workplace.

I want to learn for fun, do you offer hobby courses?

Yes, we offer lots of courses which are a fun way to learn something new or enhance your existing skills. Popular areas include catering and hospitality (exploring areas such as cake decorating, baking, mixology, barista skills and much more), sports (coaching, injury prevention and rehabilitation), hair and beauty (styling, nail extensions, Swedish massage, Indian Head Massage, and much more), art and design (ceramics, upcycling, textiles, painting and drawing). Many of these courses are taught at community venues.

My goal is to go to university, but I don’t have the qualifications, can you help?

Yes! We offer a range of Access Courses especially designed for adults who want to progress onto a university course. Access courses are a fast-track route to degree-level study and are tailored to specific careers like law or nursing, or cover broader areas including science, social sciences, and business.
