If you’re in year 11 you are probably thinking about what you want to do when you leave school. There is an array of choice out there, ranging from A Levels and apprenticeships to vocational courses in a huge variety of subject areas.
We outline some of the options below - and how you can find out more about them at one of our open evenings and taster events.
A Levels are a great way to prepare for university-level study.
If you decide to study A Levels at Nottingham College, you’ll be doing so in our dedicated High Pavement Sixth Form. We offer over 25 subjects and are located right next to Nottingham Trent University’s City campus.
Book a space on our next High Pavement Open Evening on 16th January here.
You can study different levels of Vocational courses, and a level 3 is equivalent to two or three A Levels. Because of the more technical and applied learning involved in a vocational course, it is a perfect stepping stone into a job or career.
We have full time Vocational courses in over 20 subject areas, great links with employers and boast specialist facilities and resources including labs, studios, workshops, garages, kitchens, and more to help you get the training you need.
You can discover these at our next Open Evening.
Apprenticeships are a great opportunity for you to earn a salary while you gain a qualification at the same time.
We advertise apprenticeship vacancies on our website and these are updated regularly.
