EMTEC Nottingham, one of the UK’s leading providers of automotive training, can announce a unique new partnership with Korean luxury automotive brand Genesis following its launch into the UK market this summer.

This exclusive new partnership will create new jobs and generate new skills within the automotive sector, providing training vehicles, dedicated workshop space, state of the art classroom and virtual learning space, all of which will provide Genesis technicians with the latest skills, knowledge and technical ability to maintain, service and repair the Genesis range.

Genesis is already a key player overseas in North America, Russia, Australia and the Middle East. This summer, Genesis will launch into the UK, and will will welcome the introduction of a fleet that will ultimately include an entire range of new models over the course of the next 12 months.

Working on a direct-to-customer model, Genesis will be handling all purchasing, servicing, maintenance and repairs in-house, which will be delivered by Genesis Operation Centres. It is these centres that EMTEC will provide all technical training delivery for and will begin delivering onsite classroom-based and workshop training for Genesis technicians from across the UK in June 2021

EMTEC, part of Nottingham College, is one of the UK’s leading automotive training providers and is home to the training centres of a number of prestigious brands and household names. Jon Rawson runs the EMTEC centre in Ruddington, Nottingham. He said:

We’re pleased and proud that Genesis have chosen us as their training partner. My team at EMTEC love getting to know new models and brands and have enjoyed getting under the hood of the new vehicles in preparation to begin the training of Genesis technicians and new recruits. As technology advances, our technicians have to develop their own knowledge and understanding of new and innovative manufacturing methods in order to develop the methodology and blueprints to repair, service or replace. We occupy an important space within the automotive industry, providing thousands of technicians every year with vital technical skills and knowledge that sets them apart and ultimately results in their brand’s success.

David Parkin, Head of Aftersales UK with Genesis Motor UK Ltd said:

The team of technicians and trainers at EMTEC will play an important role in our success as we launch the Genesis brand into the UK. This partnership will deliver the vital training and development that we need to create an expert team of engineers and technicians in the UK as we roll out both a luxury service and product offering across the country.
