News: Media Jam 2021 - Industry Week

Media Jam

The BBC, The Guardian, ITV, Netflix, Disney, Reuters, Jamie Oliver, Sony, Vice, Channel 4, NME, Capital FM. All some of the big names that our 26 guest speakers have worked with as part of our MediaJam 2021 Industry Week.

The photographers, designers, marketers, directors, producers, journalists and writers sharing all this with our students from Monday 8- Friday 12 March have a phenomenally impressive list of credits between them. From the creator of seminal album covers from the epoch-defining The Pixies, to a journalist who has interviewed David Lynch for the BBC; from animators and VFX artists working on Disney films and hit Netflix series, to young photographers working for the prestigious Reuters news agency - each guest will bring you their unique take on the challenging, fascinating and exciting professional lives.

Some are at the beginning of their journey and some are at the top of their game, but all of them have knowledge, insights and experience that our students can learn from.

The creative industries aren’t just about the big organisations. Self-employed entrepreneurs are a crucial part of the picture. Students can get inspiration and advice from local and national freelancers and small business owners, whose words could become the cornerstones of your future successes.

There’s something for everyone here - See what opportunities await if you apply now for our courses. Moving Image, Design & Marketing, Photography, Journalism & Creative Writing are collaborative industries, and good ideas are infectious. We encourage our students to attend sessions outside their specialism, and to take part in as many as possible!
