Please note: This news story may contain information that is no longer current or up to date.

Nottingham College has launched a new Employability Skills online course. It’s suitable for people aged 19 and over.

The course covers where to find jobs, including the hidden job market. It also teaches job application skills. This can help build confidence and improve people’s job prospects.

The government is funding this part-time employability course for adults aged 19+ who are looking to retrain or upskill.

The course covers a range of topics

Included in the course materials are:

  • job hunting tips including the hidden job market
  • CV and cover letter writing
  • application form tips
  • interview skills
  • where to find information and careers guidance
  • and more!

It’s a self-study course. This means people can start it at any time. They can study in the daytime, treat it like an evening course, or just learn whenever suits them best.

But there is also helpful tutor feedback on two of the activities, to help students get the most out of the course.

The course is one of a range of Nottingham College funded online courses for adults aged 19 and over.
