Not­ting­ham Col­lege has launched a new Employ­a­bil­i­ty Skills online course. It’s suit­able for peo­ple aged 19 and over. 

The course cov­ers where to find jobs, includ­ing the hid­den job mar­ket. It also teach­es job appli­ca­tion skills. This can help build con­fi­dence and improve people’s job prospects. 

The gov­ern­ment is fund­ing this part-time employ­a­bil­i­ty course for adults aged 19+ who are look­ing to retrain or upskill. 

​The course covers a range of topics

Includ­ed in the course mate­ri­als are: 

  • job hunt­ing tips includ­ing the hid­den job market 
  • CV and cov­er let­ter writing 
  • appli­ca­tion form tips 
  • inter­view skills 
  • where to find infor­ma­tion and careers guidance 
  • and more!

It’s a self-study course. This means peo­ple can start it at any time. They can study in the day­time, treat it like an evening course, or just learn when­ev­er suits them best. 

But there is also help­ful tutor feed­back on two of the activ­i­ties, to help stu­dents get the most out of the course. 

The course is one of a range of Not­ting­ham Col­lege fund­ed online cours­es for adults aged 19 and over.
