News: The Junior Darts Corporation joins The Fast Track Academy

Please note: This news story may contain information that is no longer current or up to date.

The Junior Darts Corporation (JDC) have joined up with Nottingham College and are now bronze members of the innovated Fast Track Sports Academy.

The Fast Track Academy seeks to enhance opportunities for sport students at the college and offers new experiences to help them kick start their career in Sport. This exciting partnership will allow students to get a look at the junior darts set up and give them the opportunity to study the growing sport of darts.

The JDC have been in partnership the Room 180 Academy as they share the same sponsors in Winmau darts. Gary Horsley, the director of the Fast Track Academy and Room 180 Academy lead, is delighted to announce the continuation of the really successful partnership with the JDC and is excited for the future impact for the sport of darts and the opportunities that could be created for the college learners. The college will soon be opening it’s new 5 board Academy room that will also act as a JDC Education hub that will allow the JDC to have a base and facility in the Midlands.

Darren Barson comments: The Fast Track Academy is a great idea and we look forward to helping Gary in the development of darts education and the new education hub – hopefully early 2022 when it opens. We have worked with Gary for a number of years and the education aspect is something that the JDC continues to push, so this is an ideal opportunity. Gary already runs the JDC Nottingham Academy so this fits naturally. This Fast Track is not a new Darts Academy or something to be confused with the already established system – it is a creative partnership to help the Nottingham College and Gary build on the education platforms. The JDC look forward to continue to work with Gary and the Room 180 Academy and 2022 is starting to look really exciting. The JDC are excited to be able to support developing darts in Nottingham College and really look forward to seeing the developments of the Room 180 Academy and their initiatives around education. It does look like the future of education and darts is about to take off and we are delighted to be able to support this initiative.”
