News: We have launched our brand new Esports course to prepare students for career in gaming!
Students eager to pursue competitive gaming as a profession can jumpstart their careers with the new esports course launching this September at Nottingham College.
Endorsed by the British Esports Federation and widely recognised by employers, these programmes are designed for those eager to break into the fast-paced world of competitive gaming. The qualification, which is equivalent to three A levels, but also offered at Level 2, enables students the opportunity to progress into a range of different roles within the industry.
During the course, students will dive deep into the esports industry, exploring diverse career paths while gaining the skills needed to advance in higher education or step straight into a professional esports career.
Delivered at Nottingham College’s City Hub campus, in a brand-new classroom kitted out with cutting-edge resources like professional gaming chairs and neon lighting, the space provides everything students need to excel and immerse themselves in the Esports experience.
Joshua Wynn, 18, said:
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, until I came across the esports course. Gaming has always been a safe space for me. Learning something I’m interested in alongside other people who understand me, is just what I was looking for. I used to not want to get up for school but at college you’re treated like an adult and I’m excited to go into class each day.
