Student finance
If you’ve applied for student finance, don’t forget to check your emails for important updates! Our Student Finance team have had a busy couple of weeks catching up with applications processing. To make sure your application is dealt with as soon as possible, check that you have submitted all the evidence the form asks you to provide.
Food awards
Good news as the colder days approach — we are increasing the value of food awards for students aged 16 – 18. If you receive the food bursary, your current daily allowance will be increased to £3.50. if you are in receipt of the free school meal entitlement you will receive £4 per day. Please make use of this allowance for a breakfast or tasty lunch, just present your ID card at the café tills.
To help you get back into the swing of things after the half-term break, a free breakfast is available to you during your first week back.
Your wellbeing is important to us
You may well have taken the time to engage with our wellbeing survey on WhatsApp before the half-term break. This is our way of checking in and making sure you’re ok. If you’ve told us you need some support, your request is making its way to your tutor or a member of our Wellbeing team. If you missed the survey, don’t worry. There’s always help at hand. If you’re struggling at all, please do reach out to our Wellbeing team. You can also visit our wellbeing support pages on our StudentNet site.
