Higher Education Outreach Activities for Years 9-13
Widening Participation in Higher Education
Nottingham College University Centre is part of DANCOP- a collaborative network between universities and colleges across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire that exists to provide targeted higher education outreach programmes to secondary schools and colleges across the two counties. We are proud to be a part of the National Collaborative Outreach Programme and our work focuses on specific target wards where we have the opportunity to inspire and inform about higher education and the opportunities it brings.
LEVEL-UP DURING LOCKDOWN
To support distance learning, the DANCOP team have created the ‘Level-Up during Lockdown Programme’- a series of workshops that can be completed at home, aimed at developing students’ knowledge and skills for Higher Education and employment.
Students who complete three or more activities will be entered into a prize draw to win a number of £50 Amazon vouchers!
Working with DANCOP provides you with the opportunity to access a range of free Higher Education outreach activities and resources for years 9-13, information sessions for parents and CPD opportunities for you and colleagues.
The activities that we can offer include information sessions on all of the topics you and your learners might want to know about higher education and higher degree apprenticeships, finance and budgeting, writing personal statements and a range of hands-on subject taster sessions.
