We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspiring STEM Facilitator to work within Nottingham College’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) Centre based at our dedicated Engineering campus at Highfields in Nottingham. You will work within a team to plan and deliver workshops, presentations, demonstrations and other activities designed to engage young people in STEM subjects and STEM careers.

The College’s STEM Centre is funded by DANCOP (Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Collaborative Outreach Programme), part of the Office for Students (OfS) nationally-funded NCOP initiative to provide targeted higher education outreach programmes for secondary schools and colleges across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

In this role you’ll spend time in schools and colleges, promoting our STEM centre facilities, as well as delivering STEM sessions to parents and young people in schools. You’ll spend much of your time in the STEM centre itself, using our range of STEM teaching equipment to engage and inspire young people about the whole range of STEM careers available to them.

You’ll have experience working with young people, be educated to degree level in a STEM related subject and be keen to get hands on with our technology, AI and robotics and above all be an engaging and enthusiastic advocate for the College, for DANCOP and for STEM in general.

The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification.
