Who we need
We are seeking an innovative and dynamic Assistant Principal – Curriculum Skills to join our leadership team. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring that our college meets the skills needs of employers and the local, regional, and national economy, equipping our learners and apprentices with the skills they need for future employment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Strategic Leadership: Shape and implement the college’s Skills Strategy, ensuring we are positioned to deliver an outstanding curriculum offer that meets the needs of the modern workforce.
· Curriculum Development: Lead the design and management of innovative and flexible skills programs, ensuring that our offer remains relevant and high-quality.
· Quality Assurance: Act as the Ofsted Nominee for Skills, ensuring the highest standards in curriculum delivery and learner outcomes.
· Team Leadership: Build and develop a high-performance team committed to continuous improvement, innovation and excellence.
What you’ll bring
The successful candidate will:
· Demonstrate proven success in managing curriculum teams and developing education strategies.
· A strong understanding of Apprenticeships, Bids, and subcontracting opportunities.
· Have experience in curriculum design and quality improvement, aligned to stakeholder needs.
· Have the ability to lead high-performing teams and deliver innovative solutions.
· Possess excellent communication, problem-solving, and data analysis skills.
· Be a strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
· Be inclusive and respectful towards colleagues and students.
· Have a strong commitment to continuous professional development and safeguarding.
