Our greatest asset is our people that is why Nottingham College’s promise to you is vast. We believe in changing lives through excellence in education and employment. You would be joining at a time of rapid change and improvement following our recent OFSTED grading of “GOOD”.
We are currently looking to recruit 2 posts in the ESOL department at the Adams campus: a full-time permanent lecturer (starting at the beginning of September 2023) as well as a full-time maternity cover ESOL lecturer post (maternity cover starting October 2023 and ending July 2024). We are a large team of experienced practitioners and deliver Pre-Entry to L2 ESOL as well as GCSE maths and English to both 16-19 year old full-time learners and part-time adults.
Applicants should have a strong background in teaching ESOL across a range of levels and age groups. The role will include teaching a variety of skills and levels, tracking and monitoring learner performance, setting learner targets and marking learner course work and exams. Applicants must be able to work on own initiative with limited supervision and be able to meet tight deadlines. You will be supported by the ESOL managers, ESOL curriculum leads and advanced practitioners.
The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification. Please ensure that you have a look at this specification attached to the Role Profile and complete your application directly from this, as these specifications are an integral part of the selection process. For further details on this post which the job description and person specification cannot answer for you, please contact us by email at Linda.mcdonald@nottinghamcollege.ac.uk
