Contract: Full time, part time (permanent)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly enthusiastic, innovative and experienced lecturer to join our brand new Foundation Learning team. We are looking for a lecturer who is passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives and regardless of the level of challenge, will be relentless in supporting, and nurturing learners to build self-confidence and resilience as well as developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours they will require to progress.

This role will include working with learners who may require additional support with both emotional and behaviour needs, so experience is essential. The curriculum will be delivered around a number of projects, therefore the successful candidate will be able to deliver a combination of Entry / Level 1 Vocational Studies, English and maths.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, empathy and the ability to inspire and engage young people who may have complex needs and backgrounds to excel and achieve their learning goals.

The role will also include pastoral support, progress monitoring and report writing. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they can use new learning technologies and will continue to update their skills through CPD.

The successful candidate will respond to Teaching, Learning and Assessment strategies and findings and strive to ensure that these constantly improve.

The post will be shortlisted against the essential and desirable criteria at application stage from the person specification. Please ensure that you have a look at this specification attached to the Role Profile and complete your application directly from this, as these specifications are an integral part of the selection process.
