The Faculty of Science, Health and Care at Nottingham College offers students the opportunity to study a range of courses. Students can choose from a large range of subjects in a friendly and supportive environment with good teaching, first class facilities and opportunities to take part in a range of sporting, leisure and cultural activities.

We are looking for hourly paid Animal Care lecturers who are dedicated, enthusiastic teachers to join our faculty. The successful applicants will be able to teach City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Land Based Studies, Level 2 Technical Certificate in Animal Care and Level 3 Extended Diploma in Animal Management. You will be a responsible and confident teacher who has the skills to inspire both pupils and colleagues. You will have an imaginative approach to teaching that generates wonderfully creative lessons to fully engage and inspire your students. The ability to create innovative online learning resources is important as part of this role.

Applicants should have recent experience of teaching. Applicants should have the ability to work as part of a team and develop and share innovative and stimulating teaching and learning resources.

Applicants must be passionate about teaching in the FE sector and be committed to ensuring that our learners make the best possible progress. As such, applicants must also have the ability to work under pressure and adapt to change.

A teaching qualification is desirable, and you must be passionate about being a professional educator to young people.

Our hourly paid lecturers also have 40% admin time for each hour of teaching and 45 days annual leave (pro rata).
