This role is a unique opportunity to shape services for our students, to give them the best possible experience whilst at the College. The role holder will lead the safeguarding team, dealing with safeguarding referrals and associates case load work. You will work as part of a safeguarding and wellbeing team to ensure safeguarding is given a high priority within the college.

Contract: 37 hours per week, Fixed term maternity cover

As lead you will be the Single Point of Contact for Prevent responsibilities across all sites, apprenticeships and subcontracted provision. You will Lead and own the ongoing implementation of the Prevent duty, and associated action plan and risk assessment. An integral part of your role will also include Acting as Designate for Looked after Learners, with focus on developing strategies and policy to reduce barriers to learning and improve retention of Looked After or Vulnerable Learners. You will also lead on information sharing with local authorities and virtual schools regarding Looked after Learners in line with our statutory duties.

Working with staff and partners, you will ensure that processes and procedures are well-known and adhered to, and action plans are developed to ensure we are meeting our obligations
