This apprenticeship would be ideally suited to an individual who wants to follow a career as a qualified Bricklayer by gaining valuable hands-on experience working for a respected company offering a wide range of services to a loyal and demanding list of clients across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
As an apprentice bricklayer, you would:
- work under supervision
- help set out buildings using bricks, mortar and blocks in accordance with approved construction techniques
- working to individual client and architect’s specifications and detailed plans and designs
Projects are wide and varied, but mainly relate to:
- residential builds
- alterations and adaptions
- renovations and refurbishments
- and more general brick projects
- repairs and developments.
Throughout this apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to work at a variety of locations as and when new projects arise.
You will be required to attend College on a day release basis and undertake any additional training as requested and to take an active part in the apprentice review process.
You will be required to follow Health & Safety policy and procedures, including the wearing of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required, use all tools, equipment and materials safely and build and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, customers and other trades.
Due to location and cross county working, successful applicants are required to hold a full UK driving license.

The successful applicant will be enrolled as an apprentice for 33 months and will work towards and be expected to achieve the Bricklaying Apprenticeship, and will attend day release at Nottingham College to formally learn the much in demand knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to become a qualified Bricklayer.
