Milford Academy based in Clifton, Nottingham are looking to recruit an enthusiastic nursery assistant to work with children providing care and learning for each child according to their needs whilst studying and work towards achieving a nationally recognised childcare qualification.
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who aspires to work within the childcare industry. This role will be working within the Nursery Team with children aged 3-4 years under the direction of the teacher. You will gain understanding of all aspects of young children’s development.
Duties within the role include:
- Greeting parents
- Helping out with activities with the children
- Personal care of the children
- Setting up activities and clearing them away
- Ensuring that the nursery is kept clean and tidy
- Ensuring any relevant paperwork is completed
- Contributing to planning and development
- Changing nappies
- Attend and complete training set by the employer
- Other general duties as and when required
This apprenticeship is work based therefore most of the time you will be working at the employer’s address.
You will only need to attend college in Nottingham for initial assessments and for fortnightly day release.

A*-D/8-3 GCSE in maths and English (or equivalent).
