The successful applicant will join Belvoir Rail Ltd as an Assembly Technician for an exciting opportunity working as an Apprentice Maintenance Engineer. You will work towards a Level 2 Engineering Operative apprenticeship standard.
A mechanically minded Apprentice Assembly Technician / Production Assistant is needed to join Belvoir Rail Ltd in Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire. This is a rare opportunity for a practical candidate, who is looking to learn new skills, to progress their career particularly within the Rail Industry For over 12 years, Belvoir Rail Ltd has specialised in engineering solutions in the Rail Industry.
Due to ongoing success, we are now seeking an Assembly Technician / Production Assistant to work within our workshop environment and as part of our friendly team. Working closely with the Assembly Supervisor & Operations Director the Apprentice Assembly Technician / Production Assistant will work within the workshop environment to help assemble various products.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assemble both small and large products (requiring some manual handling)
- Use workshop equipment (Hand Tools)
- Anything else necessary to ensure products are assembled to the highest of standards
- You are practical and mechanically minded
- You are willing to learn to read technical drawings
- You have an interest in engineering
- You are willing to learn new skills and can multitask
- You are computer literate
The successful candidate will gain experience of working in a production environment and working with mechanical & measuring equipment as well as finishing a product for dispatch.

- Day release at Nottingham College, Highfields Centre
- Level 2 Engineering Operations
A full-time position will be offered at the end of the training period.
