The construction sector is the driving force behind the UK economy and bricklaying is at the heart of the sector, particularly in house building where the government has set ambitious targets for new house building.
As an apprentice bricklayer you would under supervision help set out buildings using bricks, mortar and blocks in accordance with approved construction techniques, working to individual client and architect's specifications and detailed plans and designs.
Projects at RS Hall Construction Ltd are wide and varied, but mainly relate to:
- Residential extensions as well as other more general brick projects and developments such as:
- Decorative work
- Refurbishing brickwork
Throughout this apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to work at a variety of locations as and when new projects arise.

Minimum entry requirements: maths, English Language and ICT GCSE grades A-D*/8-3 and above (or equivalent qualification).
Many brickwork projects are by nature carried out outdoors and have to proceed throughout periods of hot, cold and wet weather. RS Hall Construction have a strong reputation for quality work in Nottinghamshire, however the exact location of future projects are unknown, but will involve some aspect of traveling for the team to get to and from each site / project as and when required.

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours on advert will be amended accordingly to fall in line with the legislation.
