Customer Service / Administration Apprentice


Job description

Kirkland & Lane Solicitors and Estate Agents based in Southwell, Nottinghamshire, are looking to recruit a hardworking and ambitious apprentice administrator to join their friendly and well-established organisation.

Within this varied and unique role you will be a pivotal member of the team, gaining skills and qualifications to develop key administration duties in a legal and property environment.

Working in a flexible and professional team you will gain hands on experience in all aspects of the day to day duties involved in an administration role. This is a fantastic opportunity if you are passionate about pursuing a career in the legal or estate agency sector.

  • Meeting and greeting clients
  • Answering the phone and directing calls as appropriate
  • Being the first point of contact face-to-face email and phone enquiries once trained
  • Receiving mail and deliveries
  • Photocopying, filing, scanning
  • Assisting with updating and creating new blogs/posts and Social Media sites, including Facebook and Twitter
  • Opportunity to design and create marketing literature
  • Preparing documents
  • Preparing outgoing mail and directing incoming mail as appropriate
  • General cleaning and tidying

This apprenticeship is work-based learning therefore most of the time you will be working at the employer’s address. You will need to attend college in Nottingham city centre for initial assessments, and 1 day per week on a Wednesday for day release.

Please ensure you can easily travel to Southwell daily, there is the 100 Bus which travels to Southwell – passes through Nottingham city centre, Carlton (NG4), Burton Joyce, Lowdham.

Qualifications required

GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English.

Candidate requirements

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours on advert will be amended accordingly to fall in line with the legislation.

This apprenticeship is work based learning therefore most of the time you will be working at the employers address. You will be required to attend Nottingham College one day per week for day release.

Candidate must be able to travel to the workplace according to working hours.

Training provided

Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship standard, which includes:

  • Level 1/2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

Future progression

Possible permanent position on the completion of the apprenticeship.
