Job description

ABB Furse is looking to recruit a hardworking and ambitious administrator to join their expanding organisation. This is an ideal role for someone looking to start their career in a successful business.

Are you keen to pursue a career working for a well-established company? Do you possess a desire to learn and further your skills? If so this could be the ideal apprenticeship for you.

Working as part of the Customer Service/Quotes team, day to day duties will include:

  • Administer export orders in line with current process
  • Liaising with customers, their agents and Spatial forming positive working relationships
  • Answering the phone and directing calls as appropriate
  • Producing correct documentation
  • Liaise with buyer planning team
  • Photocopying, filing, scanning
  • Any other general administration duties as required

Skills required

The post holder will be able to demonstrate strong organisational and team working skills. They will have a good general knowledge of ICT packages and demonstrate a good level of spoken and written literacy.

Qualifications required

A*-D/9-3 maths and English at GCSE desirable but not essential.

Candidate requirements

Please note that anyone under the age of 18 will only work a maximum of 40 hours per week. Any role which exceeds these hours on advert will be amended accordingly to fall in line with the legislation.

Training provided

Intermediate Apprenticeship in Business Administration Level 3 – 12 months

  • Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills English, maths and ICT Level 1 if required

This apprenticeship is 1 day per week at the college term time only 9am – 5pm with the other days based at the work place.

Future progression

Potential opportunity for a permanent role within the company following successful completion of the apprenticeship.
