Employers — National Apprenticeship Week 2022

Our apprentice has been very focused throughout her course. She hits deadlines and the ward can’t speak more highly of her. She’s very professional and mature. I am thrilled with her.

National Apprenticeship Week returns on 7 February — 13 February, a week in which we celebrate apprenticeships, employers who support apprentices and the benefits that apprenticeships bring to businesses.

Apprenticeships are great for learners and employers alike. They give apprentices the opportunity to develop their careers, learn valuable skills and earn recognised qualifications. Employers can effectively grow their workforce by hiring an apprentice.

Many businesses find that they lack the capacity to meet their long-term goals but cannot afford a full-time hire. This is where apprentices step in. Apprenticeships are a cost-effective way to recruit, whilst giving someone a good headstart on their career path. There are plenty of funding opportunities available due to strong government backing too which our apprenticeship team is happy to discuss.

Apprentices add a lot of value as a workforce addition. Their enthusiasm to learn and thrive makes them an asset to any team. They bring a new, fresh perspective to businesses and plenty of ideas to help employers meet their goals.

Most of our employers take on our apprentices on a full-time basis after they’ve completed their qualifications, and that’s for a good reason. Apprenticeships allow employers to develop new staff in a way that best suits their needs as a business. Apprentices embrace the values of their employer, grow their skills in useful areas and form strong bonds with other colleagues. Employers end up with a worker that is perfectly modelled to their business needs. Read what our employers have said about our apprenticeships on our testimonials page.

Existing staff members can also be upskilled through higher-level apprenticeships. This can help strengthen your team and help individuals meet their career goals.

If you’re interested in finding out more about apprenticeships, register your interest. We can provide guidance on accessing funding and we offer a full, free recruitment service.
