Admissions for Further Education for September 2020

The College’s normal application process has changed, in line with Coronavirus developments. If you applied to us pre December, it’s likely that you would have been asked to attend a Meet the Team event at one of our college campuses. This would have given you the chance to meet the tutor, talk to them about your aspirations and for the tutor to show you a bit more about the course, what it offers and what it entails. Unfortunately, all Meet the Team events have been cancelled for the time being.

If you have applied recently, or are planning to apply, you will not be invited to a Meet the Team event. Instead you will be automatically offered a conditional place at Nottingham College. This should offer you peace of mind that your place at College is safe. The grades you receive over the summer, coupled with an assessment you will take part in, as part of your college enrolment process, will firm up your offer and make sure you join the right course, at the right level for you, at this time. We will support you through this process. We want you to feel at home at college, safe, secure and supported.

Admissions for Higher Education for September 2020 entry or thereafter

The Office for Students (OfS) has reminded providers of upholding integrity in decision making when awarding offers to all potential applicants to study with us in the next academic year. We are committed to honour all those offers already made and are still taking online applications through UCAS. Please be confident in the ways in which you will be seen as a prospective student. We endeavour to apply fairness and parity to assess each applicant individually and where you have been unable to compete all, or part, of your required level, or current ongoing qualifications, we will work with awarding bodies, schools and previous places of education to ensure a fair and accurate appraisal is made about your potential.

This accords with the recent decisions to review completion of A-levels and other level 3 programmes as we await a full announcement from Ofqual.

Please email the HE Office if you have any particular concerns about your current application status, or if you want help with applying for finance for 2020/21 by emailing
