English for Speakers of Other Languages

If you are aged 16 – 18 and English is not your first language, an ESOL course could really help you improve your English Language skills. People often choose an ESOL course first and then go on to study on one of our other courses or an apprenticeship.

You’ll learn speaking, listening, reading and writing skills to help you become confident in English. You will also study Information Technology (IT) and employability skills to help you in your future career.

If you are a bit nervous about starting a course, you don’t need to worry – friendly staff are there to help you learn English and make new friends.

Once you successfully complete your course, you could move up through the levels of ESOL until you have the right skills to start a full-time or part-time course or an apprenticeship, where you can earn a wage while you learn. We offer many of these options here at Nottingham College.
