If you’re looking to build on your existing skills, while working on caravans and motorhomes in all types of vehicle repair facilities, this programme will give you the advanced technical knowledge you need.

The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today’s caravan and motorhome industry.

You will study both the theory and practical aspects of the following:

  • Materials and tools
  • Carrying out non-structural internal and external repairs
  • Diagnose and rectify 12v/230v electrical, chassis /running gear and gas appliance faults
  • Health and safety

Vehicle Maintenance and Repair - Caravan and Motorhome - Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)

Duration

12 months

Level Level 3
Entry requirements
  • You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement
  • You will also need 4 GCSEs at grades A* to C/9 to 4 or equivalent including English Language and Maths and a relevant Level 2 qualification. Some employers may require additional qualifications depending on the role

Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.

All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.

Teaching & assessment

For each module you will need to complete coursework, written assignments, practical assessments, online tests and work-based observations. You will have the advantage of an online e-learning package to help you achieve your target.

  • Higher apprenticeship or specialist training to further improve your knowledge and skills
  • Career in the caravan and motorhome industry
