If you’re looking to build on your existing skills in customer service and technical knowledge, while working in all types of vehicle parts supply operations, this programme will give you the advanced technical knowledge you will need.

The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today’s motor vehicle retail parts industry.

The learning programme provides customer service and technical knowledge for people working in all types of vehicle parts supply operations.

You will cover:

  • Identifying and reporting security risks within a vehicle parts environment
  • Selecting and issuing motor vehicle parts
  • Receiving and storing motor vehicle parts
  • Processing orders for non-stock motor vehicle parts
  • Processing payments
  • Health and safety
  • How to give a positive impression to customers

Vehicle Parts - Vehicle Parts - Advanced Apprenticeship (Level 3)


12 - 18 months

Level Level 3
Entry requirements
  • You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement
  • You will also need GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) in English and Maths and a relevant Level 2 qualification. Some employers may require additional qualifications depending on the role

Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.

All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.


For each module you will have to complete coursework, written assignments, practical assessments, online tests and work-based observations. You will have the advantage of an online e-learning package to help you achieve your target.

  • Higher apprenticeship or specialist training to further improve your knowledge and skills
  • Career in the motor vehicle retail parts industry
