On this course you’ll learn the skills needed for a career in plumbing while earning a wage.
This course is for those employed in the construction industry as a domestic heating installer. You will come into College one day a week, to complete the underpinning knowledge and portfolio building to compile the evidence you need for your qualifications.
The apprenticeship is made up of the following elements:
- NVQ 2 in Installing & Maintaining Domestic Heating Systems
- Level 2 Diploma in Installing & Maintaining Domestic Heating Systems
- Level 1 Functional Skills in ICT
- Employment rights and responsibilities
- Personal learning and thinking skills

Domestic Heating - Domestic Heating - Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)
Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.
|Teaching & assessment||
Each unit is continually assessed. You will present evidence of competence via practical assessments and production of a personal portfolio.
You will be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment at all times during your placement and at College when using any tools/machinery.
