If you’re looking to gain skills and a qualification, working on light vehicles (cars and vans) in all types of vehicle accident repair facilities, this programme will give you the technical knowledge you need.

The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today’s motor vehicle body repair industry.

You will study both the theory and practical aspects of the following:

  • Removing and re-fitting of vehicle mechanical components
  • Removing and re-fitting of vehicle electrical components
  • Removing and re-fitting of vehicle internal and external trim
  • Materials and tools
  • Health and Safety

Qualification

Vehicle Body and Paint - Mechanical, Electrical and Trim - Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)

Duration

18 - 24 months

Level Level 3
Entry requirements
  • You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.
  • You will also need 4 GCSEs at grades A*-D or equivalent including English and Maths, however some employers may require additional qualifications depending on the role.

Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.

All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.

Teaching & assessment

For each module you will have to complete course work, written assignments, practical assessments, online tests and work-based observations. You will have the advantage of an online e-learning package to help you achieve your target.

  • Advanced apprenticeship or specialist training to further improve your knowledge and skills
  • Career in the automotive accident repair industry
