If you’re looking to gain skills and a qualification in customer service and technical knowledge, working in all types of vehicle parts supply operations, this programme will give you the customer service and technical knowledge you will need.

The programme covers the technical and practical needs for today’s motor vehicle retail parts industry.

You will cover:

  • Selecting and issuing motor vehicle parts
  • Receiving and storing motor vehicle parts
  • Health and safety
  • How to give a positive impression to customers
  • Identifying and reporting security risks within a vehicle parts environment

Framework/standard

Vehicle Parts - Vehicle Parts - Intermediate Apprenticeship (Level 2)

Duration

12 - 18 months

Level Level 2
Entry requirements
  • You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement
  • You will also need GCSEs at grades 9-4 (A*-C) in English and Maths. Some employers may require additional qualifications depending on the role

Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.

All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.

Assessment

For each module you will have to complete course work, written assignments, practical assessments, online tests and work based observations.

Progression
  • Advanced apprenticeship or specialist training to further improve your knowledge and skills
  • Career in the motor vehicle retail parts industry
