Art, Design & Fashion

If you have a creative flair and love to express yourself, then choosing one of our exciting innovative creative courses could be the perfect choice for you.

Our highly rated courses are specially designed to help you make your mark in the creative industry. You will have the opportunity to work and learn alongside professional and successful artists and designers in the heart of Nottingham’s Lace Market – part of the city’s Creative Quarter.

Selecting Nottingham College as the place to do your course means that you will get high quality support and facilities from the start to help unlock your creative talents and kick start your future career.

If you have a passion for art and design, you’ll be able to make use of our six-story former lace mill (25: Nottingham School of Art) which is designed to nurture creative juices. Among other outstanding facilities, it holds extensive studio spaces, a print room, a photographic dark room and studio, 3D workshops, a ceramics workshop and industry standard digital facilities.

Fashion students equally benefit with the use of the original lace lofts up in the Adams Building, where textiles heritage meets the future of fashion. You’ll also have the opportunity to showcase your work to the public and industry professionals at our art and design exhibition and catwalk shows – a real highlight of the year!

Many of our former students are successful and nationally-renowned makers, designers and business owners, so we’ve certainly got a good track record in supporting students to reach their full potential.

Many of our art, design and fashion courses are validated by the University of the Arts London (UAL), which we have a working relationship with. Lots of our students regularly progress to study at UAL, as well as other prestigious universities across the country, including the world-renowned Central St Martins.
