Ceramic Projects at the Nottingham Ceramics School — Part-time

Course outline

Based at Nottingham Ceramic School this course is aimed at confident learners who have some ceramic knowledge, or have attended a beginners or improvers course.

You will be able to focus on developing your own ceramic project over a number of weeks, allowing you to focus on really improving your ceramic making and decorating skills, whether in hand-building or on the pottery wheel.

You will be taught by experienced tutors and have access to the schools resource of equipment and tools.

No prior experience is required.

Teaching & assessment

Tutors will give regular verbal and written feedback. You will be required to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and encouraged to set your own personal targets as part of this course.

Progression

There may be opportunities to progress onto other courses both in the community and at Nottingham College sites.

The course tutor can discuss appropriate opportunities if you wish to further your learning in this subject area.

Additional information

Students will be required to pay £20 directly to the tutor at the first class to cover clay, firing and glaze.
