Apprenticeship outline

This Apprenticeship is suitable for people working in the cleaning sector, particularly for those who work as a supervisor.

The qualification comprises of core and optional units and includes:

Core Units:

  • Level 3 Diploma in Cleaning Supervision Skills
  • Employee Rights and Responsibilities
  • Personal Learning and Thinking Skills

Optional Units:

  • Train and develop cleaning staff
  • Support equality, diversity and individual rights in the workplace
  • Monitor and solve customer service problems

Level Level 3
Entry requirements

You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.

You will need to achieve Level 2 English and Maths by the end of your apprenticeship unless you already hold an equivalent qualification. All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling and achieve Level 1 as a minimum.

Teaching & assessment

Training and assessment to be carried out and tailored to be relevant to the apprentice daily work procedures.

Delivery and assessment can be either in a college or in the workplace.

Assessment of this qualification is by learner portfolio of evidence and includes underpinning knowledge and observation of the working practices.

Progression

Further learning opportunities could include Level 3 in Facilities Management.

Additional information

If you are just starting out, you may wish to consider the Cleaning and Support Services Level 2 while experienced staff can go straight to this Level 3.
