Central became the first college in the region to secure “STEM Assured status” which gives us a fantastic platform to promote science subjects as an exciting long-term career option.

The Assured status is reward for our commitment to developing a strong STEM curriculum and also recognises our ambition to become the biggest science education provider in the East Midlands.

Our science courses cover a broad base and provide career opportunities in hospitals and pharmaceutical, environmental, health science, forensic science, electronic, computing and biochemistry industries. Over 90% of our students continue onto a science related career.

The College has Associate College status for the Royal Society; a fellowship of the world’s most eminent scientists and is also successfully affiliated to the Royal Society of Physics and the Institute of Physics.
