Supported Learning

Supported Learning

Horizons programmes are for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. They give students the opportunity to learn through a variety of classroom/workshop activities and hands-on experiences along the way. The programmes will help them to decide on a vocational route or employment with training to support their needs and aspirations.

We are keen to provide a bespoke service to help you provide customised experiences for your students and support what is an important step for them in deciding their future.

In the past we have offered learning programmes in the following areas:

  • Household Skills
  • Horticulture
  • Creative Media
  • Sport
  • Art
  • Cooking
  • Drama
  • Digital Photography
  • Increasing ICT Skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, Publisher)

Students can either achieve individual unit accreditation, full awards or College certification.

Hours: The duration of each course can be made to meet your requirements.

Location: Most provision will be located at the Stapleford centre. However, for some activities specialist locations will be used.
