The primary role of a digital marketer is to define, design, build and implement digital campaigns across a variety of online and social media platforms to drive customer acquisition, customer engagement and customer retention.
A digital marketer will typically be working as part of a team, in which they will have responsibility for some of the straightforward elements of the overall marketing plan or campaign.
The marketer will work to marketing briefs and instructions. They will normally report to a digital marketing manager, a marketing manager or an IT Manager.

Digital Marketer - Level 3 Standard
18 - 24 months
You will need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in a relevant job but we can assist you in finding a placement.
You will also need 5 GCSEs at grades 9–4 (A*–C), including English Language and maths – one of English Language or maths must be grade 9–4 (A*–C). Functional Skills Level 1 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 3 (D) and Functional Skills Level 2 can be used as equivalent to GCSE grade 4 (C) or above. Apprentices without Level 1 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the end-point assessment
Adults who are aged 19+ with appropriate industry experience but without the necessary qualifications are welcome to apply.
All applicants will be required to undertake an assessment in English and maths prior to enrolling.
Each unit is continually assessed. You will present evidence of competence through practical assessments and the production of a personal portfolio. A behavioural log will be assessed by your employer and you will complete an End Point Assessment in the final 3 months of your study.
This apprenticeship is recognised for entry on to the Register of IT Technicians and those completing their apprenticeships are eligible to apply for registration. Completion of the apprenticeship would also allow access to join as an Affiliate (Professional) member of the CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) and/or Associate membership of BCS.
