NCFE Award in Creative Crafts Level 2

Level Level 1
Entry requirements

This course is for learners that have already completed NCFE Creative Crafts at Level 1. This course is not suitable for beginners, as previous experience and knowledge of skills and techniques is required. You will need to complete a work book, and so must be able to complete written work as well as practical element of the course.

Due to funding rules, you may only enrol on ONE NCFE course for level 2 in each academic year.

Teaching & assessment

Tutors will give regular verbal and written feedback. You will be encouraged to set your own personal targets, as well as completing an NCFE workbook.

By attending the course you will have increased your knowledge, skills and understanding to help you move on and take up further opportunities open to you.

Your tutor will discuss progression opportunities with you at the final session as part of the course evaluation. These may include other community courses, employability skills courses, volunteering opportunities and progression onto other Nottingham College courses.

Additional information

Sewing machines and other large equipment is supplied, but you should aim to bring your own dress or accessory pattern and basic sewing kit of scissors, pins and needles, and a tape measure to the first session (all can be bought for about £5). You will need to bring all other materials and threads etc for the project and this cost depends on the fabric purchased, but we encourage re-using, recycling and love charity shops!
