Effective Communication Skills — Part-time

Course outline

This course is an ideal opportunity for you to develop your language skills and learn how to communicate more effectively.

The course will explore communication as a topic and what it means to communicate effectively. You will be supported to develop strategies to focus on your communication needs.

It is a practical course with plenty of emphasis on speaking and listening.

On this course, you will learn to:

  • Increase confidence in speaking
  • Demonstrate active listening
  • Practice intonation in speaking
  • Improve verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Communicate effectively in challenging situations

You will achieve objectives by taking part in group activities, completing written activities, online quizzes and other interactive activities both during the session and by completing homework activities in your own time.
