Engineering & Technology

Our enterprising engineering and technology courses are the perfect choice if you enjoy figuring out how things work and have a curious mind.

You will gain unbeatable commercial experience, new skills and levels of technical knowledge at Nottingham College - opening up increasing job opportunities for our students.

We have large high quality workshops with industry standard equipment at our Centre of Excellence at Highfields Science Park, which will equip you with the skills you need for a successful Engineering or Technology career.

Highfields has two new dedicated workshops for fabrication and welding training. Initial skills can be developed on the virtual welder – our specialist training technology originally designed for the US Army.

You will also benefit from classroom technology including AutoCAD (Computer Aided Design) and Solid Works design packages. We have also invested heavily in 3D printing and scanning technology, to enhance our product design and manufacturing capabilities.

We work with some of the leading names in the industry, including Boots PLC, Reckitt Benckiser and ZF Services UK Ltd, as well as one of the country’s leading universities, the University of Nottingham.

Choosing one of our reputable courses means that you can be confident that you will get a high quality education and learn skills that employers are looking for. We offer a clear progression route on your journey to becoming a qualified engineer in one of 18 sector areas, with support from staff with specialist industry experience.

Levels

Our courses are designed with you in mind and start from Level 1 with progression available through the levels up to HND (Higher National Diploma) at Level 5 - where training includes multiple disciplines to suit your career choice.
