External Walling Installation and Introduction to Spray Rendering (Level 1) — Part-time
Course outline
Are you a plasterer already working in the trade and looking to trial the latest rendering and external wall products and techniques? Or are you recently qualified and looking to expand your offer to attract work?
This new, free, two-day course is your chance to develop your skills portfolio within our state-of-the-art workshop setting at our Basford Hall campus. Thanks to Government funding, Nottingham College is able to offer this new course, for free, utilising brand new equipment.
Day one will cover:
- A thorough introduction to External Walling Installation (EWI) and spray application
- Monocouche, one coat systems
- Silicone renders
- Preparing background using RENDAID
- Latest external meshing/beadings
- Latest finishing and scouring top coats
Day two will continue with the above and go on to include:
- Working safely
- Preparing and maintaining the machinery
- Loading and mixing
- Product application

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to confidently deliver external walling installation (EWI) as part of your product/service offer, for both residential and commercial properties. |
