How to Draw Using Your Tablet — Part-time
Course outline
This course is perfect if you are interested in creative drawing practice and have an iPad, digital tablet or iPhone and want to use it creatively.
Artists and designers now often begin their ‘workflows’ with digital devices. From creating an exhibition with a tiny iPod Touch for the Edinburgh Art Festival in 2010, Mik Godley has increasingly used iPads and mobile phones to sketch and draw.
This course will show you how to use the app Sketchbook and others on your tablets and phones, both Android and iOS, to create designs and artworks to use online or print.
Over this 6 week course you will develop new skills and techniques, responding to a range of creative tutor-led exercises.
You can see Mik’s work on Instagram: www.instagram.com/mikgodley/
You will receive an induction to our well-resourced Studio, excellent tutor teaching, new knowledge and skills in observational drawing, and opportunities to develop your digital creativity.
You will need to bring your own iPad/digital tablet.
You can view the fantastic creative works of our students on our Creative Showcase website below.
