Course outline

This course is perfect if you have a creative side, enjoy working with people and are looking for an introduction into the Beauty industry.

You’ll learn about the importance of professionalism in a beauty salon, as well as conducting practical treatments such as skin care and nail care.

You can expect lots of practical hands-on learning to ensure you master all the basics of the industry. You’ll do research into products and their ingredients and you’ll complete a range of practical and written assignments to support your learning.

You’ll need to complete an initial assessment before starting the course which will involve you taking a skills test and meeting with a tutor

You will be assessed continually throughout the course.

Choose to follow with further study at Nottingham College on a Level 1 Hair or Beauty course.

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
