Course outline

This course is suitable for anyone of limited reading and written English skills or if is not your first language.

This course is a great way to build your confidence in reading and writing and speaking English making it easier to work and live in an English speaking environment.

It will also make it easier to deal with everyday household letters and bills, communicating with schools, doctors, tradespeople and applying for jobs and training.

The class will be will be friendly, informal and fun.

Teaching & assessment

Tutors will give regular verbal and written feedback. You will complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and will be encouraged to set Your own personal targets as part of this course.

Progression

You can progress onto part-time and full-time English or ESOL courses that are available at the main Nottingham College centres.
