Course outline

This course is ideal for employees that wish to develop their knowledge and skills in digital marketing, enabling them to create effective digital and social media strategies for their business.

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • Understand and apply basic marketing principles
  • Understand and apply the customer lifecycle
  • Understand the similarities and differences, including positives and negatives, of all the major digital and social media platforms
  • Understand the main components of digital and social media strategies

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements are needed, but students should have a reasonable level of numeracy and English vocabulary.

Your business must also be eligible for the funding, does yours qualify?

Most small and medium organisations in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire are eligible for support.

Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are defined as:

  • Less than 250 employees
  • Annual turnover under EUR 50 million or;
  • Annual balance sheet less than EUR 43 million

Companies must be based in the D2N2 area to qualify for support. D2N2 is the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) for Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
