Introduction to Porcelain Jewellery — Part-time

Course outline

This course is perfect if you are interested in learning new creative skills using porcelain clay.

Porcelain is the purest ceramic material which is why it is referred to as ‘white gold’.

In this course we look to experiment with a number of different ceramic processes which lend themselves particularly to the production of porcelain components.

With the introduction of secondary materials we will be construct these elements into precious objects to be worn.

Over the 6 weeks we will celebrate the qualities of porcelain as a material in terms of form, texture and colour and encourage individual creativity to produce personal and original contemporary wearable artifacts.

You will receive an induction to our well resourced 3D and Ceramics Studio, excellent tutor teaching, new knowledge and skills in porcelain jewellery, and opportunities to develop your creativity within clay porcelain processes.

Porcelain clay, stains and glazes will be provided on the course. If you want to develop your work further you can purchase art materials at our Art Shop based at 25 Stoney Street

You can view the fantastic creative works of our students on our Creative Showcase website below.
