IT and Work Skills (Entry Level College Certificate) - Full-time

Course outline

This course is perfect if you would like a basic introduction to IT and some skills which will help you in future work and life. This course is very well suited to students from English for Speakers of Other Languages courses.

You’ll learn the basics of IT, as well as developing your skills in English, business communication and maths. Examples might include creating a presentation using computer software and practising your written English, and finding out how a PC is put together and how to make it work properly.

You can expect a supportive environment where you can learn about spreadsheets, business presentations, basic PC maintenance and customer service such as making business phone calls.

You will also study Functional Skills in English and Maths.

  • ESOL Entry 3 Listening and Speaking

You will produce a portfolio of evidence.

Progression

Choose to follow with a Level 1 course in IT, Business, or a related subject.

Additional information

Students aged 16-18 don't have to pay tuition fees.
