This course is designed for those who lead a team of internal quality assurance staff. You’ll be able to develop your skills, gain underpinning knowledge and demonstrate competence in the workplace to help you progress in your career.

The course consists of the following unit:

  • Component 6: Plan, allocate and monitor work in own area of responsibility

Qualification

Leading Internal Quality Assurance of the Assessment Process and Practice (Level 4)

Duration

1 week part-time followed by 1:1 assessment in the workplace.

Level Level 4
Entry requirements

For those that have recently completed their Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice this is the additional unit/component you need to convert this to the Leading certificate qualification.

You will have achieved the Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice within the last 12 months.

You’ll need to be managing and monitoring a small assessment team who are assessing candidates each undertaking an awarding organisation (RQF) accredited qualification.

You’ll also need access to a qualified internal verifier/quality assurer (IV/IQA) in your own subject area and to be aged 19 or above.

Assessment

You’ll be assessed continuously over the course via a portfolio of evidence including products of work, observation and written explanations.

Progression

You may progress to the External Quality Assurance qualification.
