Learn to Sew - Part-time

Course outline

This course is perfect if you have a love of pattern, colour, texture and making.

You will learn to hand sew using a range of hand embroidery stitches including:

  • Stem stitch
  • Back stitch
  • Running stitch
  • Applique
  • Chain stitch
  • French knots
  • Twisted chain stitch
  • Couching stitch

Tutors will give regular verbal and written feedback. You will be required to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP) and encouraged to set your own personal targets as part of this course.
